William Polushin is Founder and President of AMAXIS Inc. He is also Founding Director of the Program for International Competitiveness, and a Lecturer in international business at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
Over the past 28 years Mr. Polushin has been helping Canadian and foreign enterprises grow or expand their businesses in Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, Asia (China, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, and India), and/or Western Europe. His experience spans several sectors and industries including, manufacturing (industrial and consumer products), engineering and construction, information and communications technology, and oil and gas.
Prior to establishing AMAXIS, Mr. Polushin worked with SNC-Lavalin International as Vice President Business Development, Mexico and the Caribbean. His professional credentials also include assignments with the Canadian Embassy in Chile, and Petro-Canada Products.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Polushin has served as Chair of the Quebec Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada, and President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico. He currently serves as a Member of the Executive Council of AmCham Quebec, a Member of the Advisory Council of Room to Read, Montreal Chapter, and the SME Advisory Committee at the University of Alberta.
Mr. Polushin is a graduate of the North Americas Business Fellows Program - a trilateral MBA program offered by McGill University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Marketing (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta.
